The Department of Registration and Scientific Reference Aids (SRA) manages the state registration of documents belonging to the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The department’s main tasks include:
– ensuring the complete and accurate state registration of documents accepted for state custody;
– creating and maintaining records for the state insurance fund of copies of documents from the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– developing scientific reference aids for archival documents (such as guidebooks, inventories, catalogs, indexes, and surveys);
– entering and updating information on archival fonds in the “E-Archive” database (the Unified Archive of Electronic Documents);
– expanding information retrieval capabilities for users;
– organizing the scientific description and systematization of documents;
– maintaining records of audio, photographic, and video documents, and introducing them into scholarly circulation;
– maintaining thematic, name, and systematic catalogs;
– developing methodological recommendations, instructions, and guidelines.
