Nurlanova Sagila Esimseitovna
Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Born on 28 May 1968 in Korgalzhyn District, Akmola Region.
In 1991, she graduated from Karaganda State University with a degree in History. In 2023, she was awarded a Master of Pedagogical Sciences degree with a specialization in History. She began her professional career as a lecturer at the Akmola Agrarian University.
She has been in the civil service since 1998. She started her career in the system of state administration as a Senior Specialist in the General Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she advanced through successive positions to become Head of Sector. For more than 23 years, she worked in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fields of records management, improvement and automation of documentation processes, archival affairs, office administration, and document management.
She currently serves as the Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Republican State Institution.
As Director, she provides overall leadership of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines its strategic development priorities, and ensures the implementation of the state policy in the field of archival affairs. She chairs the Directorate, the Scientific Council, and the Methodological Council of the institution.
Coordinates the activities of the Administrative and Human Resources Service and the Finance and Economics Division, ensures effective budget planning, oversees the preparation of budget requests, and monitors the efficient use of public funds. She is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the institution’s internal regulations, organizing the protection of state secrets, creating safe and favorable working conditions for employees, implementing staff social support measures, and promoting patriotic education among young people.
She supervises the activities of the advisory and consultative bodies of the National Archives and participates in the preparation and implementation of international treaties, agreements, and projects in the fields of archival affairs, records management, and the preservation of the documentary heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under her leadership, projects are being implemented to expand international cooperation, advance the digital transformation of the archival sector, and preserve and promote the documentary heritage of Kazakhstan.

Kusainova Tursyngul Zhagyparkyzy
Deputy Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Coordinates the activities of the Document Preservation Department, the Document Access and Use Department, the Publishing and Editorial Department, and the Personal Provenance Records Department.
Supervises the preservation of documents of the National Archival Fund, the organization of their use, and the scientific and publishing activities of the Archives. She also oversees the acquisition of archival holdings with documents received from archives, libraries, and research institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, including records of personal provenance. She is responsible for identifying, acquiring, accepting for permanent state preservation, and facilitating the use of particularly valuable archival documents of historical, scientific, and cultural significance.
Mushkenova Saule Nesipbaevna
Deputy Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Coordinates the activities of the National Archival Fund Acquisition Department, the Records Registration and Finding Aids Department, the Archival Technologies and Digitalization Department, and the State Archival Holdings Catalogue.
Organizes the acquisition of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, coordinates cooperation with organizations serving as archival acquisition sources and prospective acquisition sources, and ensures the regular updating of the lists of organizations designated as acquisition sources.
Supervises the state registration of documents of the National Archival Fund and their finding aids, regardless of the type of information carrier, oversees the maintenance of the State Archival Holdings Catalogue, and coordinates the implementation of modern archival technologies and digital transformation processes within the archival sector.
