The 20th Anniversary Conference Continues at the Institution’s Historic Home

As part of the event, a commemorative corner dedicated to Rysty Khaleskyzy Sariyeva, the first Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a prominent public figure was officially opened. The exhibition featured valuable documents and photographs highlighting her life and professional career, as well as her significant contribution to the establishment and development of the National Archives.

The conference then continued its work in four thematic sessions: “Records Formation as a Guarantee of the Quality of the National Archival Fonds,” “Archival Publications: History, Lessons and Knowledge,” “The National Archives: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow,” and “Artificial Intelligence in Archives: New Ways of Preserving History.”

The sectional sessions were attended by representatives of the Committee for Archives, Documentation and Book Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Archives of Uzbekistan, the National Center of Manuscripts and Rare Books, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, as well as heads and representatives of regional archives across the country.

The discussions focused extensively on the formation of archival fonds, the introduction of historical documents into scholarly circulation, the development of international cooperation, the digitalization of the archival sector, and the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies. At the conclusion of the conference, a final resolution was adopted. Certificates and awards were presented to the participants and speakers.
