The State Secrets Protection Unit carries out its activities in accordance with approved plans while ensuring compliance with the national requirements for the protection of state secrets.
Main functions of the Unit:
• preparing permanent records containing state secrets from records-creating organizations for transfer to the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• providing methodological guidance to organizations on matters related to the protection of state secrets;
• conducting appraisal of archival records;
• accepting records into the National Archival Fund;
• ensuring the preservation, registration, and inspection of transferred records.
