Main Areas of Activity
The Department is responsible for organizing the centralized state registration of documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and continuous updating of archival registration data.
Key Functions
- Maintaining the State Fund Catalogue of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Entering, updating, and maintaining information on archives and archival fonds in the electronic database.
- Processing and entering data contained in archive passports submitted by the local executive authorities of the regions and the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent, as well as by state and special state archives.
- Recording changes in the composition and volume of archival fonds and updating the relevant information in the electronic database.
- Organizing the maintenance of the State Fund Catalogue based on fonds registration cards submitted by state and special state archives.
- Preparing the consolidated passport of state archives on the basis of archive passports.
- Maintaining the database of documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan preserved in special state archives.
- Monitoring the timely incorporation of amendments into registration records and ensuring the accuracy of the information they contain.
- Implementing and maintaining the “Mangilik Zhadymyzda – Eternal Memory” portal dedicated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as carrying out systematic work to expand and update its database.
