Scientific Council
The Scientific Council of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Scientific Council of the National Archives) is a permanent advisory body established to consider matters related to the organization and coordination of research, publication, and editorial activities, as well as to enhance the quality and effectiveness of sectoral research in archival science, source studies, and other related disciplines.
In its activities, the Scientific Council is guided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the regulatory legal acts of the Committee for Information and Archives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the National Archives, and other applicable legal acts.
The Scientific Council is chaired by the Director General of the National Archives.
The Council consists of heads of structural divisions and employees of the National Archives who possess professional experience in archival science, source studies, and other related fields.
The Regulations governing the Scientific Council, its membership, and its annual work plan are approved by an order of the Director General of the National Archives.
Meetings of the Scientific Council are convened as necessary, but at least four times a year. Extraordinary meetings may also be held when required.
