The National Archives Fund Replenished with Documents of Nazir Torekulov

Today, the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with Zhappar Zhuman, President of the “Nazir Torekulov” International Charitable Foundation, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences.

During the meeting, valuable documents related to the life and work of the state and public figure Nazir Torekulov were handed over to the funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The transfer of these documents to the archives is a tangible outcome of the previously signed memorandum of cooperation between the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the “Nazir Torekulov” International Charitable Foundation. These efforts represent a significant step toward establishing Nazir Torekulov’s personal archival fund and introducing his historical legacy into scientific circulation.

As part of the meeting, the President of the Foundation, Zhappar Zhuman, presented the Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saghila Nurlanova, with the Foundation’s “Eren Enbegi Ushin” (For Outstanding Labor) badge, in recognition of her contribution to researching and promoting the historical legacy of Nazir Torekulov.

Furthermore, a special carpet depicting Nazir Torekulov was presented as a gift to the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue its cooperation aimed at preserving, expanding, and introducing the national historical heritage into scientific circulation.
