A meeting was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a delegation from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre of the United Arab Emirates, headed by the Centre’s Director General, His Excellency Dr. Yousef Abdullah Al-Obaidli.

The meeting focused on further developing cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates in the archival sector, the preservation and digitization of historical and cultural heritage, work with archival documents, the exchange of scientific and professional expertise, as well as the implementation of joint cultural and educational projects.

The National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan has maintained professional ties with cultural and scientific institutions of the UAE since 2018. Over this period, a number of meetings and joint activities have been held between institutions of the two countries, laying the foundation for the exchange of experience and further professional cooperation.

The parties noted significant potential for further cooperation in the joint study of historical documents and photographic materials, the organization of exhibition projects dedicated to the history of relations between the two countries, as well as the promotion of archival and cultural heritage.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further developing professional ties in the field of archival affairs and cultural heritage preservation, continuing the exchange of expertise, and implementing joint projects.
