Department of Organizational and Analytical Support and International Cooperation

The Department of Organizational and Analytical Work and International Cooperation plans the operations of the National Archive and monitors plan execution, analyzes and synthesizes the performance results of structural units, and studies and compiles best practices in the archival field from domestic archival institutions as well as neighboring and foreign countries.

The Department performs the following functions:

  • Ensures the preparation of the National Archive’s annual work plan and oversees its execution;
  • Ensures the timely preparation and submission of administrative data entitled “Main Directions and Key Performance Indicators of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan” to the competent authority;
  • Reviews draft annual work plans of structural units and submits proposals for corrections and additions;
  • Supervises structural units to ensure compliance with tracked documents;
  • Conducts analytical work across the primary activity areas of the National Archive;
  • Prepares quarterly and annual summary reports on the performance results of structural units;
  • Records the minutes of weekly meetings conducted by the management of the National Archive;
  • Organizes the operations and maintains the meeting minutes of the Methodological Council of the National Archive;
  • Studies and synthesizes best practices in the archival field from domestic archival institutions and foreign countries;
  • Conducts inventories of archival documents acquired from foreign archival institutions;
  • Participates in establishing a unified database of repatriated documents;
  • Submits proposals for implementing new working methods to advance the archival sector;
  • Participates in preparing agenda items for meetings of the National Archive’s collegial bodies—the Directorate, Scientific Council, Methodological Council, and Expert Examination Commission.
